N.Y. TIMES ACCIDENTALLY TELLS THE TRUTH ABOUT THE PALESTINIANS

To read the New York Times, one would think that the situation in the Judea-Samaria (West Bank) region in 2015 is the same as it was in 1985 or 1975. Israel is "occupying the West Bank," Palestinians are denied the right to vote, and Palestinian violence is inevitable because Israeli control makes them feel hopeless. That was more or less the theme of the Times' March 31 feature story on the situation in the territories today.

ISRAEL QUIETLY FIGHTS TERROR, AS PA STANDS IDLY BY
But the PA has made a mockery of its anti-terror obligations.

Even the New York Times, not exactly known for scrutinizing the PA's behavior, acknowledged in a March 23, 2014 news article that Israeli troops had recently been forced to enter the Jenin refugee camp in pursuit of terrorists because although Jenin is under the "full control" of the Palestinian Authority, "the Palestinian [security forces] did not generally operate in refugee camps."

THE OBAMA APOLOGY TOUR: PART II

President Obama has stirred quite a hornet's nest of criticism with his claim that Christians are just as guilty of atrocities as ISIS. But it's not the first time he has done so--and he is not even the first president to have done so.

Speaking at the National Prayer Breakfast on February 5, argued that ISIS and Al Qaeda are not the only religious extremists to use violence. "This is not unique to one group or one religion," he claimed. "There is a tendency in us, a sinful tendency that can pervert and distort our faith." For proof of this assertion, however, he had to go all the way back to the early Middle Ages: "[L]est we get on our high horse and think this is unique to some other place, remember that during the Crusades and the Inquisition, people committed terrible deeds in the name of Christ," he declared.

Lest anyone think, even for a moment, that there is even the slightest link between Islamic terror against Jews in Paris and Islamic terror against Jews in Jerusalem, the New York Times has rushed in to disabuse us of that notion.

A BETTER RESPONSE TO ARAB TERROR

As a little girl fights for her life in an Israeli hospital emergency room, with more than 50% of her body burned by a Palestinian firebomb, all the usual players are lining up to deliver their all-too-predictable responses.

At first glance, you might not think there was any reasonable way to distort or politicize this horrific incident. Eleven year-old Ayala Shapira was a passenger in her father's car, on her way back from a math enrichment lesson. As they approached their hometown of Ma'ale Shomron, a Palestinian terrorist hurled a Molotov cocktail at the car. Ayala and her father leaped from the car, badly burned, as the vehicle was consumed by the flames.

OBAMA OFFICIALS' INSULTS ARE VULGAR, BUT THEIR POLICIES ARE FAR WORSE

The Obama administration officials' vulgar treatment of Israel's prime minister is troubling. But the policies behind their vulgarity – and reckless – are far worse.
Two officials were involved: one who used the epithet to describe Israel's leader, and a second who agreed with the obscene remark. The point they were both making is that they consider Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu a "coward" because he won't make the concessions that they believe might lead to peace.
What concessions, exactly? President Obama, Secretary of State Kerry, and other senior administration officials have said time and again that they want Israel to retreat to the 1967 armistice lines and permit the establishment of an independent Palestinian state. That would, of course, reduce Israel to just nine miles wide at its vulnerable mid-section, near Netanya. It would also almost certainly lead to a hostile Arab state -- whether nationalist or Islamist -- in Israel’s heartland.
