Many in the Jewish community
are rightfully concerned about the potential Harris/Walz administration’s
policies against the state of Israel. It is known that she is considering an
arms embargo on Israel, but I would like to point out something equally
important: Kamala Harris’s colluding with the Islamic regime in Iran.
In 2020, Harris had an Iranian apologist and suspected member of
the Islamic regime working in her campaign for president. This Iranian
journalist, Negar Mortazavi, often downplays atrocities committed by Islamic
regime in Iran, diminishes the power of Iranian protesters, and writes love
letters to Islamic officials in Al-Jazeera
and Vox in support of lifting
sanctions.
More problematic is another Iranian, Ariane Tabatabai, whose
father is an advisor to the president of the Islamic Republic of Iran. When
Biden became president in 2020, Tabatabai joined his administration and kept
close to Vice-President Kamala Harris. Tabatabai currently works as chief of
staff for Christopher Maier, the assistant secretary of defense for special
operations, at the Pentagon. (For a thorough report, see the report, “High-Level

reiterate: an Iranian who is in communication with the Islamic Revolutionary
Guards Corp has access to classified information at the Pentagon!
Moreover, Robert Malley – who was appointed special envoy on Iran
in 2021 – is under investigation by the FBI for allegedly releasing sensitive classified
information to the Iranians and unofficially meeting with regime officials to
discuss a possible return to the JCPOA (Iran deal) and the lifting of
sanctions. Thankfully, his security clearance was revoked, and he was put on
unpaid administrative leave. But the Biden/Harris administration should never
have put him in such a position in the first place.
As an Iranian refugee, along with the rest of the Persian Jewish
community in the United States, I find these developments concerning. I raise
the alarm that there are signs that these individuals will play a more
significant role in the Harris/Waltz ticket, if they win the election. The
damage to our national security will be catastrophic.
I fear the combination of anti-Israel and pro-Iran policies will
be the end of the golden era for Jews in America. The current turmoil on college
campuses is just a small harbinger of how the situation would unfold for Jews
when institutions refuse to protect minorities. The vile Jew-hatred seen in the
streets of New York City can pour into the suburbs, into our very
neighborhoods, and disrupt our lives with no end in sight.
My fellow Jewish Americans, please heed with caution as we
approach this election in November. Your vote matters. Your vote can determine
the end of – or a new beginning for – the United States of America.
